2018 has been off to a fruitful start for Jade Global, with the closing of a large Oracle Cloud ERP deal. The first day of February marked the official signing of Jade Global’s newest client, Gibson USA, a leading U.S. manufacturer of everyday kitchen items and cookware accessories. Gibson will retain Jade Global to streamline their enterprise business processes with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud. Jade will also be implementing Oracle Cloud Inventory, Order Management, Planning Central and Warehouse Management System (WMS) across their organization including EDI integrations with the leading retailers using Oracle Cloud SOA and Database Cloud Service.
Gibson has built an empire producing and marketing its cookware products for the world’s largest retailers under trademark names including Oster, Crock Pot, Coca-Cola, Mr. Coffee, and other national brands. Gibson provides product development, design, production management, and quality control to its manufacturing partners worldwide. It is critical to their business functions that the high velocity of material movement in and out of their 6 warehouses remain on a strict schedule so as to keep up with time sensitive customer order fulfillment.
Jade worked with Gibson to propose a solution that would achieve Gibson’s goal of moving to an entirely paperless environment across warehousing and customer service functions. Jade’s team of ERP experts laid out a plan to move Gibson from a non-supported IT platform to a modern and scalable digital Cloud platform that will enable business growth, while streamlining operations.
Jade’s Oracle Cloud solution will automate order-to-cash, procure to pay, record to report and order to fulfillment at Gibson. This will improve the scheduling of shipments, introduce mobility, real-time inventory visibility, near real-time transaction processing in the warehouses across the entire organization and on time shipment delivery. The solution will reduce the TCO for Oracle applications, perform automatic upgrades, and consolidate all of Gibson’s IT systems into a single platform across ERP, PLM and WMS processes.
The culmination of the deal, which involved Gibson approving the Oracle License and Jade’s implementation, was officially signed on February 2, 2018. Jade will additionally provide application support.
