Is your enterprise ready for Oracle Redwood UI

When you download and use a smartphone app, it's usually a breeze, right? No manuals and training needed, just install and go. But when it comes to enterprise applications, it's often a different story. The interfaces can be clunky, and training becomes a big part of getting everyone up to speed. It’s costly and time-consuming!

To tackle this, Oracle came up with Redwood—a game-changer in user experience design. It's not just about making things look pretty; Redwood is Oracle's answer to the jumbled mess that happens when you're juggling multiple Oracle products. Oracle's enterprise tools grew up in different times and industries, so each had its own look and feel.

Oracle Redwood UI changes that. It brings a unified experience across Oracle's vast range of tech solutions. No matter which Oracle application you are using, Redwood gives you a seamless interface that's easy to navigate and consistent. It's all about improving the effectiveness of using Oracle applications and reducing end users training costs as well as error-making.

Planning to implement Redwood in your Oracle Utilities Application Framework, you might wonder: Why is Redwood important? How do you leverage it? How to adopt it effectively and navigate the changes?

In this blog, we've got you covered with everything you need to know about Oracle Redwood User Experience, and how Jade Global, an Oracle partner, can help you transition to Oracle Redwood stress-free and hustle-free.

What is Oracle Redwood UI?

Redwood affects every interaction organizations have between customers, employees, and vendors within their enterprise applications. The driving force behind Oracle Redwood is ease of use and development by leveraging pre-built designs, templates, low code extensibility applications, and embedded AI/ML. With this, Oracle’s customers will be able to reap the benefits of upcoming releases most effectively.

Leverage Oracle Redwood UI

The Redwood user experience aims to cut significant costs for businesses by delivering a seamless and user-friendly interface across Oracle's entire range of products, Overall, Oracle’s Redwood Experience will allow:

  • Fewer clicks for many of the simpler process flows,
  • Quicker page loads
  • Enriched application experience with embedded generative AI.

The most impactful piece of the Oracle Redwood User Experience shift is that as Oracle rolls out new features, customers will be leveraging Redwood to take quick advantage of them. Customizing pages will become a lot simpler and customers will be able to take advantage of the increased functionality based on their requirements. For example, Redwood will include the ability to view how pages will display in different types of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets.

Let Oracle Partner - Jade lead you through Oracle Redwood

As time goes on, all Oracle applications will transition to the new Redwood UX. Although some applications, such as EPM, will take a big bang approach in switching into the Redwood UI, others like ERP, SCM and HCM will take more of a staggered approach. These developments and updates will be coming in phases through Quarterly Updates.

Even though some of the features will be rolled out with a simple “switch on”,others will require a different approach, including evaluating how the switch will affect your current customizations, workflows, and processes.

As a certified Oracle Partner, we at Jade are helping our customers with navigating and managing the transition changes and take advantage of new technologies available as part of the Redwood.
