An American multinational ride-hailing company offering services that include peer-to-peer ridesharing, ride service hailing, food delivery (Uber Eats), and a micro-mobility system with electric bikes and scooters. The company is based in San Francisco and has operations in over 785 metropolitan areas worldwide. Its platforms can be accessed via their websites and mobile apps. Uber uses a globally diverse and fully integrated IT system consisting of a multi-platform solution to service its multi-cultural employees, contractors, and end customers.

The technology landscape at Uber has rapidly evolved over the past 3-4 years, demanding an elastic IT team to support the global user base. Uber quickly realized that it would have to adopt a Cost of Ownership model for IT Management and shortlist possible vendors/partners for IT development and support.
